Jose E. Cueto serves as chief executive officer of Grove Bank and Trust. Grove Bank and Trust was founded in 1926 and is the longest-running bank in Miami-Dade County. Locally owned and operated, Grove Bank and Trust has five offices in Aventura, Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, Palmetto Bay, and South Miami.
Prior to his current role, he served as president and chief operating officer of Grove Bank and Trust. He also served as president and chief executive officer of International Finance Bank (IFB) from 2015 through 2023. Under Mr. Cueto's leadership, IFB made the Daily Business Review Best of Hall of Fame in four banking categories, is a top-three Best Business Bank, and is recognized as a Best and Brightest Companies to Work For. Mr. Cueto also previously served as head of corporate banking for FirstBank Puerto Rico in Miami from 2012 through 2015.
Mr. Cueto is a member of the board of directors of the Miami Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. He is also a board member of the Orange Bowl Committee. He is president of the Center for Financial Training and chairman of the Florida Bankers Association. He also serves on the boards of the Cuban Banking Study Group, UM Citizens, and SebastianStrong Foundation.
Mr. Cueto received a BBA degree in finance from Florida International University.
